The following Terms and Conditions apply to bookings with EnglishRadar.

A. English courses

A1. Course booking

On confirmation of booking via email both EnglishRadar (we) and the client (you) bind themselves to these terms and conditions. Bookings are specific to a named student and are not transferable to another person.

A2. Payment

Payment of the invoiced amount is to be made by bank transfer or PayPal and the client is responsible for paying any costs incurred or bank charges. Payment details can be found on the invoice.

In order to secure a booking, full payment or a 20% deposit must be paid within 7 days of receiving the booking confirmation.

Payment must be received in full no later than 1 week before the course start date. In the case of late bookings, payment must be made in full as soon as the booking is confirmed.

We reserve the right to cancel any booking where payment has not been received as detailed.

A3. Course dates and times

Lessons start on an agreed date and the time, location and frequency is decided in advance. The date, time, location and frequency can be altered during the course by EnglishRadar and/or the client subject to availability.

You can reschedule/delay upcoming lessons without charge if you notify us by email with at least 48 hours’ notice.

We can accommodate the need for a pause during the course, e.g. for a holiday, priorities at work. Nonetheless, all lessons must be completed no later than 8 weeks after the expected completion date which can be determined from the original booking schedule.

A4. Booking Cancellation Charges and Refunds

Cancellations of bookings must be received in writing and are subject to the following fees:

A4.1 Cancellations before course start date

If EnglishRadar is forced to cancel a booking, we will either provide a suitable alternative or refund payment in full.

A4.2 Cancellations after course start date

Should you make a cancellation, on or after the agreed commencement date of the course, no refund of fees will be given.

If EnglishRadar is forced to cancel a booking, we will either provide a suitable alternative or refund payment pro-rata (based on number of lessons booked versus the lessons already given).

B. English proficiency certificates

B1. Certificate order

On confirmation of ordering the certificate via our website order page both EnglishRadar (we) and the client (you) bind themselves to these terms and conditions.

Certificates can only be ordered by the person who completed the test (or a legal guardian) and we request the right to ask for proof of identity.

When making a certificate order, you confirm that certification issued by EnglishRadar meets your requirements.

B2. Payment

Payment of the invoiced amount is to be made by bank transfer or PayPal and the client is responsible for paying any costs incurred or bank charges. Payment details can be found on the invoice.

Payment must be received in full no later than 1 week after the certificate order date.

We reserve the right to refuse any certificate order where details are questionable and/or payment has not been received as detailed.

B3. Certificate issuance

Certificates are sent by email in pdf format and issued within 72 hours after confirmation of payment.

It is your responsibility to check your email account for receipt of your certificate (e.g. Inbox, Spam/Junk folders).

You accept that date/time displayed in our Sent emails folder is adequate proof that a certificate was sent within the 72 hours after confirmation of payment.

B4. Cancellation and Refunds

Certificate orders cannot be cancelled after payment has been made and no refund will be given.

C. Jurisdiction

Any agreement entered into with EnglishRadar is governed by the laws of Germany. By entering into such an agreement, all parties agree that should a dispute arise, they will submit to the jurisdiction of the German Courts.
